Good stay, minor issues

My partner and I booked a Midweek Escape and generally had a very pleasant time. The room, a Junior Suite, was spacious and well-appointed, and the breakfast buffet was quite good. The Korean Cowgirl dinner was tasty. My only small gripe was the check-in process felt a bit slow, even though we arrived after the main rush. Overall good value for the package though.

Detailed review of my stay

I booked the Sunday Stayover package, which included a night in a Cave Room and Sunday Roast. The online booking process was straightforward on their website; I just selected the package and the dates. Arrival at the hotel was smooth, and the staff at reception were welcoming. The room itself was clean and modern, with branded toiletries provided. The Sunday Roast at the Firepit Restaurant was a highlight – generous portions and very well cooked. I also used the Hydrotherapy Pool, which was relaxing. Check-out was efficient. The only minor point was that the Wi-Fi in the room was a bit spotty at times, but overall it was a very enjoyable and well-managed experience from start to finish.

Great value on a package

I was looking for a good deal for a weekend getaway and found the Romantic Getaway package at Cave Hotels. It included dinner and breakfast, which saved us a fair bit compared to booking everything separately. The Cave Room was nice and the food at Firepit Restaurant was excellent. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth and then some for what we paid.

Had a chill time there

Went for an Afternoon Tea with my sister last month. It was pretty nice, good selection of stuff and the tea was lovely. We sat out on the Deck Terrace for a bit since the weather was decent. The vibe was just really relaxed and it felt like a nice treat. Would totally go back again for another casual afternoon.

Loved the Penthouse Suite!

Oh my goodness, I just had the most incredible stay at Cave Hotels! The Penthouse Suite was absolutely divine, every detail was perfect. The Firepit Restaurant dinner was a culinary dream. I'm already planning my next visit, seriously cannot wait to come back! Highly recommend to everyone!

hey, is breakfast included with the room typically? Or is that extra?

L Leah J. 3 weeks ago
Depends on the room and package you book. For most standard rooms, I think it's usually an extra, but some of the bigger suites or special offers will have it included. Always check the details when you're selecting your room type.

Nah, usually extra unless you book a specific deal that mentions it. It's a good buffet though!

Anyone know if the "Play While You Stay" golf deal is worth it? Do they include everything or are there hidden fees once you get there?

M Michelle Thomas 4 weeks ago
I did that package last summer! It's pretty inclusive, afaik. Golf rounds are covered, and you get the stay. Didn't hit me with any surprises for the golf itself. Just remember to book your tee times ahead.

Think it covers the rounds but probably not like, club hire if you need that. Best to double check the fine print on their site.

Thinking of Eastwell Manor vs Cave Hotels for an anniversary trip. Anyone been to both? Which one felt more special for a romantic getaway?

D Donna M. 1 month ago
Cave Hotels definitely feels more modern luxury, really unique design. Eastwell is beautiful, more traditional stately home vibes. For an anniversary, I'd lean Cave for something a bit different and very opulent, especially if you like the food options there.

Cave for sure. Eastwell is nice, but Cave just has that extra 'wow' factor and the dining is incredible.

I saw something about an NHS discount. Is that still a thing, and how do you even get it? Is it like a code?

S Stephanie Walker 2 weeks ago
Yeah, they do have an NHS discount! It's usually a specific rate you have to inquire about or book through a certain link, not a general promo code you'd just type in. Best to check their offers page or just give them a call.

They do, I think you have to show your ID or something when you check in, or apply for it direct. Not a normal code.

Thinking of booking a bridal suite for my sister's wedding. Is it really as good as the pictures make it look? Like, is it actually big enough for a few bridesmaids to get ready too?

D Daniel Taylor 3 weeks ago
Oh absolutely! I stayed in one last year for my friend's wedding and it was massive. Plenty of space for hair, makeup, the whole crew. Super luxurious too.

Yeah, they're pretty spacious. Saw some pics from a friend's stay, looked like a good size. You should be fine.
